Mendoza ubicada al pie de las más altas montañas de Los Andes, es la puerta obligada al Océano Pacífico. El clima es agradable, templado con escasas lluvias y muy pocos días de viento, gracias a la protección de la cordillera.

Un oasis en el medio del desierto es la frase que quizás defina a la Ciudad de Mendoza. El agua, tesoro transformador, ha hecho de la Ciudad un vergel repleto de plazas, mucho verde y un parque artificial de 510 hectáreas, que lleva el nombre del Libertador de América, el General San Martín.

La Ciudad en su conjunto es un atractivo en sí misma, fundada en 1561 por Pedro del Castillo, hoy se posiciona como el cuarto conglomerado de la República Argentina, con todos los servicios de las grandes urbes y una amplia oferta gastronómica, recreativa, comercial, turística y cultural.

Además, la capital mendocina es el punto de partida para conocer la propuesta turística de la Provincia: caminos del vino, alta montaña, nieve y esquí, termas, turismo rural, circuitos sanmartinianos y todas las modalidades de turismo alternativo, que invitan a disfrutar la naturaleza mendocina.

The City of Mendoza is the most important in the region of Cuyo. Famous for lodging Mount Aconcagua, for its Malbec wines and for being the cradle of the heroic deeds of Liberator General San Martín, Father of this nation, it is one of the most beautiful and neat cities in the country. 

Capital of the province bearing the same name, Mendoza, and nestled in the foothills of the Andes Mountain Range, it gives shape to an incredible oasis created by man with the help of the Mendoza and Tunuyán Rivers, which have been wisely channeled into a huge irrigation system that gives life to everything it touches.

The climate in Mendoza is moderate-temperate, though its mountains provide a certain degree of aridity. Summer temperatures range between 18 and 33º C; days are very hot and nights are fresh. In the winter, the ski season, minimum temperatures drop to 3º C whereas maximums hit 16º C. 

The City of Mendoza may be accessed either by air, landing at its international airport called Francisco Gabrielli - El Plumerillo, or by land through National Routes 7 and 40.
